What are EICs?

Electrical Installation Certificate, or EICs, are declarations that an electrical installation is safe at the time it was installed. EICs certify larger electrical work than MEIWCs, which are for minor electrical installation works.

An Electrical Installation Certificate will show whether the electrical work that has been carried out is new, an addition or an alteration. An EIC must be issued for all new electrical installations and may be needed for alterations or additions, but only if a new circuit has been installed. If a new circuit hasn’t been installed, you can get an MEIWC or an EIC.

Fill in the form above and we’ll get you in touch with up to 4 local trusted electricians that issue EICs. You should always get a registered electrician to issue EICs, which is why all our electricians are registered with a relevant trade body such as NAPIT. Always do your research when choosing an electrician – we help you find out more about our electrician by displaying their reviews they have got from previous customers.
